Corporate Malaysia, as with the rest of the world, has seen an increase in interest in ESG initiatives and efforts. Stakeholders, investors and regulators are also looking closely at how ESG policies translate into impact. Whilst some organisations are required to incorporate ESG into operations, those that do so voluntarily are able to avoid risks and build business models that are commercially sustainable.
In this course participants will have the opportunity to:
- Learn the fundamentals of what ESG is, why it is important, and how it differs from CSR;
- Review global standards and frameworks currently in place, how they work and what is considered measurable factors of success. Participants will also gain insight into how corporate leaders in ESG started and identify the factors of success;
- Review Malaysian frameworks, standards and financing. Participants will learn how leading Malaysian companies started their ESG journeys and what the lessons are so far; and,
- Receive guidance on how to begin or review your ESG journey. This portion of the course will also cover how to put in place frameworks for success, avoid greenwashing and create long-term value for the organisation, its people, stakeholders and clients.
